Lovell has teamed up with Howden Junior School to create this year’s official Christmas card for residents moving in this festive season at its Saddlers Grange development located in Howden.
More than 50 pupils submitted their designs, giving Lovell the difficult task of narrowing them down to a top three. The winning design was created by Jessica in Year Four, whose artwork will feature proudly on the front of the 2025 Lovell Christmas card.
Runners-up Filomena (Year Five) and Daisy (Year Six) also played a special role in the final design, with their artwork showcased on the inside and back of the card, ensuring all three young creators are celebrated.
Helen Hall, Head of Year Four at Howden Junior School, said:
“The children were so excited to take part in this project. It’s not every day they get to see their artwork turned into something real and meaningful for the community. We’re incredibly proud of all the pupils who took part, and it’s been wonderful to collaborate with Lovell for the first time on something so festive and creative.”
Jasmine Hindley, Regional Sales Director at Lovell, added:
“Working with Howden Junior School has been an absolute joy. The talent and imagination the children have shown has genuinely brought this year’s Christmas card to life. We wanted this to be a celebration of both the school’s creativity and the growing community at Saddlers Grange, and the final design captures that perfectly!”
The winning pupils each received a prize from Lovell to mark their achievement, and copies of the card will be shared with residents, partners, and the local community throughout the festive season.
The Christmas card competition forms part of a wider programme of community engagement surrounding the upcoming completion of Saddlers Grange, which has now become home to a thriving neighbourhood of families in Howden.
Saddlers Grange is now in its final stage, with a small selection of three and four-bedroom homes available in the beautiful East Yorkshire town of Howden. To find out more, visit here.
