The first residents have moved into their new homes at Saints Green at Peggy’s Field in South Otterington.
Homebuilder Lovell is delivering 42 homes at the development in the North Yorkshire village and now it has handed over the keys to the first three households. A further 10 will move in over the coming months.
Following a successful show home launch event in April, more than 50 per cent of homes at the development have now been sold.
Rebecca Darby, Head of Sales for the North East region of Lovell, said: “Handing over the keys to our first homeowners is a proud and joyful moment for us all, but more than that, it’s a truly special milestone for the individuals and families who are beginning their new lives in a place they can call home.”
Mr and Mrs Duffy recently moved into their home at Saints Green. Mrs Duffy said: “Our new home is exactly how we wished. The location, design and finish are sold by the sales team, headed by the excellent Vicki.
“Once in our home the excellent service has continued with the site manager, Gary, and his team being more than helpful. All round a positive experience with the special touches from the people mentioned.”
Other new homeowners include Graeme and Rita, and Shirley, who had the honour of officially opening the show home at the development in April and was recently welcomed to her home by Site Manager Gary Burgum.
Lovell is building 30 homes for private sale at Saints Green – a mix of three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom bungalows. There will also be 12 affordable homes for shared ownership or low-cost rent, comprising four one-bedroom apartments and eight three and four-bedroom houses.
The North East region of Lovell opened in 2022 and Saints Green was the first land purchased for private development. Multiple partnerships projects have also been progressed in that time, providing affordable housing for people across the North East. Homes are now on sale at the region’s second private development, Edward’s Birch in Morpeth.
Rebecca added: “At Saints Green, we have a wide range of homes ranging from two-bedroom bungalows to four-bedroom houses, as well as affordable homes. As many homes have now been sold, the range of available properties is inevitably narrowing. The completed development will offer a well-rounded and welcoming neighbourhood, thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of people at various stages of their life and with different housing requirements.”
Prices at Saints Green currently start from £292,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached house in the homebuilder’s Lansdown house style.
